Most prescriptions for pet medications, supplements, and diets can be conveniently filled here at Riverbend Animal Hospital. We can also mail pre-paid prescriptions to your home. However, we request 24-hour notice for filling prescriptions. Those that we cannot fill here may be written to regular, online, or veterinary compounding pharmacies.
We will provide prescriptions for online pharmacies, but we urge you to use only those facilities that are certified safe pharmacies. The pharmacy seal should be prominently placed on the website’s home page.
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy runs the safe pharmacy program, of which most major online pharmacies are members. Evaluating the safety of products dispensed by companies that do not participate is difficult, if not impossible, and we strongly caution against using them.
