Pet Liver & Spleen Surgery
Liver Lobectomy
In this surgery, a diseased portion of the liver is removed. We use stapling devices to minimize bleeding and decrease surgery time.
Porto-Systemic Shunt Repair
Porto-systemic shunts are a congenital condition in which blood from the small intestines, colon, or spleen bypasses the liver. Surgery is performed to close off the shunting vessel and redirect the blood back to the liver.
Bile Duct Surgery
This surgery may include removing a diseased gall bladder, removing a stone from the bile duct, or diverting bile flow from the gall bladder directly to the intestine.
Splenectomy
This is a common procedure, usually undertaken to treat a mass on the spleen. The whole spleen is removed.
