In-House Laboratory
Riverbend Animal Hospital has a full-service in-house laboratory, allowing us to conduct various tests on-site. As a result, we can have answers back on tests in minutes or hours rather than days. The tests include routine screening tests for Heartworm, Lyme, and other tick-borne diseases, as well as Feline Leukemia and FIV. In addition to routine screening, we can run many diagnostic tests and obtain accurate results rapidly. These tests include in-house hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology.
Outside Laboratory Services
Riverbend utilizes several commercial laboratories that provide a wide range of lab tests. Results are often available within 24 hours, although some tests, such as cultures and histopathology, take longer.
