Pet Microchipping

One out of three pets becomes lost during its lifetime. At Riverbend Animal Hospital, we use the HomeAgain® microchip program, the most widely used pet identification program in the country. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted under the skin with a needle. It can be scanned by a veterinarian, shelter worker, or dog officer when a stray animal is found. Home Again is notified, and the company calls the owner directly.

If your pet is lost, call Riverbend as soon as possible. We maintain a current log of lost and found pets in the area and can advise you on ways to search for your pet.
