Vaccinations

Our vaccination protocols are based on AAHA, AVMA and AAFP guidelines. We try to minimize the number of vaccines given over the lifetime of your pet, while offering necessary protection tailored to your pet’s exposures.

All pets, whether indoor or outdoor, are required by Massachusetts state law to have a current rabies vaccine for public health. Puppies and kittens are given an initial series of vaccines to build their immunity.

Core vaccines are recommended and administered to dogs and cats to protect them against highly contagious, prevalent, and potentially fatal diseases. Non-core vaccines are selectively recommended based on exposures due to geographic location and lifestyle and an assessment of risk/benefit ratio.

“Thank you for all that you do for Northampton Little League!”

Team Riverbend, Northampton

“Okay, alright, we admit it — we all like coming to Riverbend, not just the pets.”

Chris and Tammy, Leverett

“How could so many awesome people work under one roof? I guess it starts at the top. Years ago when David left Rowley, it was a no-brainer to follow him to Hadley.”

Rich, Kathy and Zuzu, Monson

“The practice seems to center on providing comprehensive, loving care for animals, which you can learn easily by sitting in the waiting room talking to other happy pet parents.”

Nicole, East Longmeadow

“We feel privileged to have Micah in your capable and caring hands. We look forward to a long, long, long, healthy life with Micah.”

Maggie and Elizabeth, Northampton
