Reproductive System Surgery

OVH
We recommend all dogs and cats be spayed before their third heat period in order to protect against mammary cancer in the future. In our hospital, we also perform a large number of more involved spays including pyometra surgery, spays of geriatric and overweight animals, and surgery for treatment of cancer of the female reproductive system.

Castration
We recommend neutering dogs before one year of age to minimize behavioral issues and avoid prostate disease down the road. Our veterinarians perform a large number of more involved castrations as well, including cryptorchid castrations and surgery for treatment of cancer of male reproductive system.

“You can tell they love animals and this isn’t just a job. They care about the pets and the owners, and it shows through their work. I got many calls from Dr. White to check up on my sick kitty and see how we were all doing.”
