Pet Identification

One out of three pets becomes lost during its lifetime. At Riverbend, we use the HomeAgain® microchip program, the most widely used pet identification program in the country. At our hospital, a chip the size of a grain of rice is inserted under the skin with a needle and can be scanned by a veterinarian, shelter worker, or dog officer when a stray animal is found. HomeAgain is notified, and the company calls the owner directly.

If your pet is lost, call Riverbend as soon as possible. We maintain a current log of lost and found pets in the area, and we can advise you on ways to search for your pet.

“Thank you to everyone at Riverbend for taking such excellent care of Dylan (and his people) over the years, and especially during the final months of his life.”

“You can tell they love animals and this isn’t just a job. They care about the pets and the owners, and it shows through their work. I got many calls from Dr. White to check up on my sick kitty and see how we were all doing.”

“Thank you for being there last week when we made our morning call of porcupine distress. We truly appreciate your squeezing our Sammie Sue in.”
