Pet Identification

One out of three pets becomes lost during its lifetime. At Riverbend, we use the HomeAgain® microchip program, the most widely used pet identification program in the country. At our hospital, a chip the size of a grain of rice is inserted under the skin with a needle and can be scanned by a veterinarian, shelter worker, or dog officer when a stray animal is found. HomeAgain is notified, and the company calls the owner directly.

If your pet is lost, call Riverbend as soon as possible. We maintain a current log of lost and found pets in the area, and we can advise you on ways to search for your pet.

“Sage would never have made it to fifteen with comfort and dignity had it not been for your caring and compassionate help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
