Pet Identification

One out of three pets becomes lost during its lifetime. At Riverbend, we use the HomeAgain® microchip program, the most widely used pet identification program in the country. At our hospital, a chip the size of a grain of rice is inserted under the skin with a needle and can be scanned by a veterinarian, shelter worker, or dog officer when a stray animal is found. HomeAgain is notified, and the company calls the owner directly.

If your pet is lost, call Riverbend as soon as possible. We maintain a current log of lost and found pets in the area, and we can advise you on ways to search for your pet.

“Okay, alright, we admit it — we all like coming to Riverbend, not just the pets.”

“We love Riverbend. The staff is the best, everyone is highly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They also keep great records, which is helpful if you are not great at record-keeping, yourself.”
